Deaf Babies: Baby programme

Baby programme

We offer families of newly diagnosed babies a parent-infant (0-18 month) programme where you have the opportunity to:

  • understand how to make the best use of your baby's technology (hearing aids, implants) so he can learn to speak alongside his hearing friends
  • learn how to build listening into your baby's everyday life so he can hear you, himself and the world around him
  • grow your baby's self esteem so he goes to school confident and self assured
  • strive for the dreams you have for your baby supported by experienced professionals with the highest expectations for listening and spoken language for deaf children.
  • informally meet other young babies and their families
  • have the space and time to talk with a member of the team in confidence

Our parent-infant programme team comprises LSLS Cert Auditory Verbal Therapists, a paediatric audiologist and a family liaison officer.
