Claire
... is taking on a triathlon: swimming cycling and running all to raise funds for AVUK!
She says " AVUK have managed to turn our despair to hope and are helping us to realise that Alice can learn to talk and listen just like her peers.
AV therapy is not provided by the NHS, but its benefits are huge, I'm hoping to raise some money to allow them to increase the number of children that they can help. "

Helen and Mark
... are taking on the Goring 10k run at the end of February!
They say " Our son, Hugh was born profoundly deaf, which meant he could not hear a jumbo jet landing next to him. The expectation was for communication with signing. The enthusiasn and positivity at AVUK supported us through a very difficult time. He has gone from strength to strength: attending normal school, reading, learning the piano and singing, and even taking the role of Joseph in the recent Nativity play."
