Two runners joined the crowd of 38,000 at the London Marathon this weekend in support of Auditory Verbal UK.

Daniel, who ran the marathon for Auditory Verbal UK for the third time, reached the finish line in just over four hours. Daniel's friends and family joined us to cheer him on outside our London centre on Jamaica Road.

Our second runner was our Head of Fundraising, Edd. This was also Edd's third time of taking on the challenge of the London Marathon so Edd decided to go in costume - you might have spotted him. Edd-the-giant-ear completed the marathon in just over five hours and with the weight of the ear and the hearing aid, we are very impressed!

"It was an awesome experience. Thanks to the wonderful crowds who so enthusiastically cheered the ear. Hopefully a few more people know about AVUK and the wonderful work we deliver, and of course there's still time to donate" http://bit.ly/1pp6Y26

You can see Edd on the BBC, Telegraph and the Mirror! Click here for links. He was also featured on page 3 of today's (25/04) Guardian.

Below are some photos from the day. If you're feeling inspired we have spaces for 2017! You could even be our #earoftheyear! Email [email protected] if you're interested in taking on the ultimate challenge to create a sound future for deaf children.
