Professional Training: Short Courses
Professionals are warmly invited to join the short courses run by AVUK at our centre in Chesterton. Additionally, please use the menu bar on the left to find out about our Open Mornings, Guest Speakers, Auditory Verbal Special Interest Group for SLTs, Europe's first Diploma in AVT, and other training opportunities for professionals.
Participants:
Many of our courses are aimed at professionals such as teachers, speech and language therapists, teachers of the deaf and audiologists who work, or would like to work, in an auditory verbal way. Other courses are aimed at parents, friends, family and nannies - please check the individual course description for more information.
Key Aims:
- Increase participants' knowledge and skills in Auditory Verbal Therapy.
- Discuss practical ideas and strategies in the areas of audition, speech and language, and play.
- Provide information regarding resources such as books, videos, websites and materials.
Accreditation:
All courses can be accredited to: Auditory Verbal Certification (AVI)
Time and Location:
All courses run from 1000 hrs to 1600 hrs (registration from 0930 hrs) and are held at AVUK, Bignell Park Barns, Chesterton, Bicester, OX26 1TD.

Course fee:
Unless otherwise indicated the fees are as follows:
Early Bird* £95
Standard Fee £135
The relevant fee includes all course materials, lunch and refreshments (please notify us of any special dietary requirements).

Cancellation policy:
If we cancel: We reserve the right to cancel the course. In the unfortunate event of a cancellation by us, all course fees will be reimbursed.
If you cancel: Written cancellation must be given by you before the course registration closing date to obtain an automatic refund of course fees. We regret that fees cannot be refunded for any cancellations received after the course registration closing date; however in these circumstances you may transfer your course fees to a colleague for the booked event, providing the new delegate details to us prior to the event date.
