A workshop for professionals who wish to expand their knowledge on ‘closing the language gap’ in pre-school children with hearing loss.

This workshop will introduce you to the Auditory Verbal approach for teaching deaf children to listen and speak.

Who is it for?

This workshop is available for professionals working with babies and young children with hearing loss including teachers of the deaf, speech and language therapists, paediatric audiologists, health visitors, nursery workers etc.

What is the workshop about?

The workshop will run for 60 mins and focus on answering the following questions:

  • What is Auditory Verbal therapy?
  • How can a deaf baby become a competent listener?

Following the workshop there will be some light refreshments and an opportunity to network and discuss further how together we can make a difference in the outcomes for listening and spoken language in deaf children.

This session is free of charge. Light refreshments will be available.
