Aimed specifically at teachers, teaching assistants, learning support assistants, communications support workers, SENCO’s and parents, this course is designed to give you practical suggestions to equip hearing-impaired children to succeed in mainstream education.

Topics include:

  • The benefits and limitations of hearing technology as well as how to check, trouble shoot and use hearing technology effectively in the classroom.
  • How to use a range of strategies to facilitate the child’s communication with other children and adults within the classroom.
  • How to accurately observe the child you are supporting in order to plan and deliver support within the classroom.
  • Understanding children’s behaviour.
