An introductory workshop for families who have a child with permanent hearing loss under the age of five.

Discovering your child has a hearing loss can be an overwhelming experience for parents and family members. Entering a world of audiology appointments, technology options and communication approaches is something that you may not have expected for the first few years of your child’s life.

Auditory Verbal UK is touring the country to provide families with information on the listening and spoken language approach.

This introductory workshop is an information sharing session for families of children aged between 0-5 who have been diagnosed with a permanent hearing loss. In this workshop families can gain further insight into how even profoundly deaf children can learn to listen and speak through the use of the correct technology and Auditory Verbal therapy.

You can bring your child along and have a short discussion with an Auditory Verbal therapist and a member of the family support team about choosing a listening and spoken language approach for your child.
