Noel qualified as a speech and language therapist from the University of Malta in 2004. He has worked as speech and language therapist and a sign language interpreter/research assistant with The Deaf People Association (Malta) and the Linguistics Department at The University of Malta. He moved to the UK in 2006 where he has worked as a speech and language therapist with different NHS Trusts. He also worked as a mainstream teacher at a secondary school in North London. As of 2009 Noel has managed the Hearing Impairment caseload at Enfield Community Services as a specialist speech and language therapist. In 2012 Noel had his first introduction to AVT whilst working with an AVUK family in the community. This led to him completing the Part 1 AVUK training package which Noel describes as his ‘aha! moment’ when he realised the importance of maximising listening to achieve spoken language. Noel joined the AVUK team in October 2014 as he firmly believes in giving children with hearing impairment a sound start in their education and this can only be achieved by developing strong language levels that are equal to their hearing peers.

Noel qualified as a certified Auditory Verbal Therapist in November 2016.

Noel works Monday-Friday at our London centre.
