How do you take part? Challenge your colleagues, bosses and friends to wear their most colourful, bright and bold shirts and donate to transform the lives of deaf children across the UK.

You could:

Host a Loud Shirt Day quiz over lunch or online using our quiz sheets to test your colleague's knowledge - ask everyone to put on their loudest shirt and donate £5 to AVUK!
Dress up for Loud Shirt Day - why not hold a best-dressed competition?
Set yourself a challenge to run, walk or cycle in your loudest shirt!

Although Loud Shirt Day is officially taking place across the world on 20th October 2023, you can hold an event at any time during October. Supporting families in Leeds and Yorkshire

Auditory Verbal UK is proud to be supporting families with deaf children in Leeds and beyond. We support deaf babies and children with our Auditory Verbal therapy family programme at our location in north-east Leeds, as well as online or using a hybrid approach of both, depending on the needs and preferences of each family. We currently have bursaries for families living in Leeds and beyond to help access our programme.

Orson and his family met more than 20 cross-party MPs, including Deputy leader of the Labour Party Angela Rayner, in the Houses of Parliament and them about deaf children having the same opportunities that he has had.

Early intervention

What are the benefits of an early intervention programme?
Foundation level

This 6-month course is available in an online learning format. Designed to equip professionals with the core skills needed to develop auditory practice when working with children with hearing loss and their families, we are also able to deliver this course in-service to employers wishing to train groups of staff.
