  • Scissors
  • Leaves
  • Stapler

🍁 Step One

Go outside and collect a variety of fallen leaves.

🍁 🍁 Step Two

Cut your card into thick strips and staple the ends together to the size of your head.

🍁 🍁 🍁 Step Three

Staple the leaves to your crown with the stapler.

🍁 Language Tip #1

For a younger child: talk about what you need and what you will get before collecting the materials.

For an older child: Describe the materials that you might need and see if they can guess!

🍁 🍁 Language Tip #2

Model lots of adjectives when you are collecting leaves!

Eg: Big, Crunchy, Broken, Soft, Dirty, Small, Torn, Crumpled

🍁 🍁 🍁 Language Tip #3

Have one person in charge of the scissors or stapler and everyone needs to ask that person to use the item or tell that person what they need to do with it.

Eg: I want the scissors.
Push down (stapler).

We hope you have fun making your autumn crowns!
