Young Ambassador: Beatrice Cadman Beatrice was born profoundly deaf and her hearing loss was identified by the Newborn Hearing Screening Programme. When Beatrice was 16 months old, she started the programme at Auditory VerbalUK with her parents. Beatrice soon began to speak and graduated from Auditory VerbalUK when she was five years old. Beatrice enjoys spending time with her sister and brother and loves to play hockey – she has recently been invited to train with the Cambridgeshire county hockey team.
