Corporate Partnership Award 2024 Winner: Markerstudy Group Markerstudy Group has won a brand-new award for pioneering collaboration and driving innovation to support deaf children and their families. The Corporate Partnership Award, which was awarded to the insurance provider at a ceremony in London last week, celebrates business that supports Auditory Verbal UK in its mission to enable more deaf children to have the same opportunities in life as their hearing peers. In 2022, Markerstudy Group launched a pioneering initiative introducing a point-of-sale donation mechanic through their brand, Brightside Insurance, to help raise funds for our work. This was the first time a program of this kind had been implemented for both Markerstudy and AVUK, with a clear ambition from Markerstudy to expand this across more brands. This has not only raised vital funds but has also increased awareness and understanding of Auditory Verbal therapy and what deaf children can achieve with early, effective support. Markerstudy’s commitment to AVUK and supporting deaf children has continued to grow, with multiple employees fundraising through challenge events like the London Marathon, the London Landmarks Half Marathon, and the Chester Half Marathon. They have been enthusiastic participants in the international awareness raising day - Loud Shirt Day - each year, as well as successfully encouraging employees to donate their time and skills to develop marketing materials and assets to support our work. Since 2022, Markerstudy has expanded their point-of-sale fundraising initiative to Lancaster Insurance and Compare the Market, with ambitious plans to implement the donation mechanism across all 15 of their brands, aiming to significantly boost their impact in the coming years. Accepting the award was Colin, Group Head of Financial Crime and Governance, said; “We facilitate our customers making premium payment top up donations to AVUK, and in the last two years we facilitated about £35,000 worth of donations from about 8,000 different customers. It’s a real privilege even to be able to be associated with AVUK, let alone win an award from them, because it's such a tangible benefit. And it's nice for the dozens of people in our organisation who've gone a little bit above and beyond to facilitate this and for those customers who've donated to support such a good charity.” Congratulations to Markerstudy on their award, and we look forward to continuing to work with you to improve outcomes and opportunities for deaf babies and children.
