About us How we're funded How we're funded As a UK wide charity, we rely on donations from our generous supporters to directly support deaf children and their families and train professionals in the Auditory Verbal approach. We don’t receive any central government funding. Our funding comes from charitable trusts, foundations, special events, corporate supporters and individual donors. Over two thirds of our annual income is raised by our small fundraising team and without voluntary income, we wouldn’t be able to offer families of deaf children financial support to access to our family-centred early intervention programme. We ask families to make a contribution to the cost of the family programme based on household income, with the remaining balance funded by donations from our generous supporters. We are extremely grateful for our supporters’ generosity and every penny donated to Auditory Verbal UK is used to realise our mission of raising expectations and outcomes for deaf children. Over the last financial year, Auditory Verbal UK has spent 82% of its funds on charitable activities which includes providing Auditory Verbal therapy directly to deaf children and their families, as well as training professionals to become Auditory Verbal Therapists through our in-depth online training package,14% is invested to generate future revenue and 4% is spent on governance costs.
