Meet A Graduate Event - 8th May 2024

Join Ava Pearson and others for our exclusive, free, Meet an AVUK Graduate online event. Ava is 17 years old and graduated from AVUK’s Auditory Verbal therapy programme, where she learnt to listen and talk, when she was 2 years and 9 months old. Since then, she has become an AVUK ambassador and has spoken publicly about the need to increase access to Auditory Verbal therapy for deaf children in the UK, including on BBC Breakfast and at our Power of Speech event in the House of Commons. Ava was also the UK Ambassador for the Achieve Anything Global Summit, sharing her experience with activist, UN Messenger of Peace and Nobel Peace Prize winner, Malala Yousafzai. Ava will be sharing her lived experience and will be joined by other graduates from our programme, as well as parents to get their perspectives. This will be a great opportunity to listen to those who have been through the Auditory Verbal therapy programme and how it has impacted their lives.
