Melanie Davis, Senior Philanthropy Manager

Melanie Davis Melanie joined AVUK in September 2023 as the Senior Philanthropy Manager to help champion the 10-year vision to help all families who want their child to be able to listen and talk to access Auditory Verbal Therapy.

Her career spans well over a decade in the charity sector in both the United States and Australia. Melanie loves building relationships with donors to help them achieve their philanthropic goals of seeing real change for others.

She is also a Trustee of the Junior League of London and is currently serving as the Fund Development Vice President for 2023-2024 in a volunteer capacity.

Melanie works 8:30am - 4:30pm every day except Wednesdays.

Supporting families in Leeds and Yorkshire

Auditory Verbal UK is proud to be supporting families with deaf children in Leeds and beyond. We support deaf babies and children with our Auditory Verbal therapy family programme at our location in north-east Leeds, as well as online or using a hybrid approach of both, depending on the needs and preferences of each family. We currently have bursaries for families living in Leeds and beyond to help access our programme.

Early intervention

What are the benefits of an early intervention programme?
Foundation level

This 6-month course is available in an online learning format. Designed to equip professionals with the core skills needed to develop auditory practice when working with children with hearing loss and their families, we are also able to deliver this course in-service to employers wishing to train groups of staff.
