Sarah Henry, Senior Development Manager

Sarah Henry Sarah joined AVUK in April 2023 as Senior Development Manager to support our 10-year vision to help all families who want their child to be able to listen and talk to access Auditory Verbal Therapy.

Sarah started out in the private sector working in the financial marketing world but in 2018 made the jump into the charity sector. Since then, she was worked for Carers Trust and Royal Voluntary Service managing their national corporate partnerships and business development.

Sarah was also a Trustee of the London branch of the RSPCA and is passionate about volunteering.

Sarah generally works Tuesday to Friday between 9am and 6pm, with flexible Mondays.

Supporting families in Leeds and Yorkshire

Auditory Verbal UK is proud to be supporting families with deaf children in Leeds and beyond. We support deaf babies and children with our Auditory Verbal therapy family programme at our location in north-east Leeds, as well as online or using a hybrid approach of both, depending on the needs and preferences of each family. We currently have bursaries for families living in Leeds and beyond to help access our programme.

Early intervention

What are the benefits of an early intervention programme?
Foundation level

This 6-month course is available in an online learning format. Designed to equip professionals with the core skills needed to develop auditory practice when working with children with hearing loss and their families, we are also able to deliver this course in-service to employers wishing to train groups of staff.
