Thank you to everyone who got LOUD to help us ensure our fifth Loud Shirt Day was a wonderful celebration highlighting the work we continue to do to support deaf babies and children achieve their potential and have the same opportunities in life as their hearing peers.

Loud Shirt Day 2020 might have looked and felt a lot different to previous years due to the global pandemic but it was no less fantastic with individuals, businesses, families, friends and pets all doing their bit.

And for the first time we joined the celebrations of our friends and colleagues in the First Voice network across Australia and New Zealand.

Digital and online platforms which have enabled everyone at Auditory Verbal UK to continue supporting deaf children and their families since the world changed earlier this year also lent themselves to a fabulous splash of colour across social media as so many got LOUD to help create a sound future for deaf children.

The Grimer family from North West London excelled themselves and smashed their fundraising total with a week of challenges inspired by six-year-old Orson and led by super Grandad John who pounded the streets before dawn each morning.

Orson and sister Mei's school The Mulberry House School took the lead from the six-year-old and also massively boosted the fundraising efforts.

Alongside these fabulous efforts, there was Team Bingo at breakfast time and sports challenges from a rising England Rugby Star.

Downloadable quizzes, Spotify Loud Shirt Kitchen Disco playlists, best dressed pets incredible cute children and not forgetting a Royal nod!

A day we won't forget and inspiration for us all to continue doing what we do.
