Katie Brewer - London

Katie is one of our parent ambassadors and her son Henry is profoundly deaf. Katie was instrumental in helping AVUK build a partnership with Garden House School which raised a transformational amount of money for the charity in 2011/12. Katie’s husband Simon also raised an amazing total for us through taking part in the Patrouille Des Glaciers in 2008. Katie is working to raise our profile with schools and companies.

Early intervention

What are the benefits of an early intervention programme?
Foundation level

This 6-month course is available in an online learning format. Designed to equip professionals with the core skills needed to develop auditory practice when working with children with hearing loss and their families, we are also able to deliver this course in-service to employers wishing to train groups of staff.
