Other ways to give

Fundraising for deaf children and babies needn’t involve great effort or lots of organisation. These ideas can be completed from the comfort of the couch and will still give more deaf children the opportunity of an equal start at school.

Set up a regular donation

The most effective way to donate to AVUK is through a regular monthly donation. Monthly donations enable us to plan ahead and ensure funds are available when they are needed the most.

Volunteer

At AVUK we believe that volunteers are crucial members of the team. If you are thinking about volunteering your time and expertise we would love to hear from you. As we are a small charity your time could be instrumental to support our fundraising team, adding to our administrative capacity, or contributing a specialised skill-set, like graphic design or photography. So much of what we do, and what we’ve achieved, is down to the collaboration with volunteers in our team as we raise expectations of what deaf children can achieve.

We are currently looking for volunteer receptionists at both our centres - click here to find out more.

If you would like to find out what particular volunteer opportunities are available, please get in touch by emailing [email protected]

Amazon Smile

Buy your Amazon purchases through Amazon Smile and every time you order Amazon will donate part of the money you pay to Auditory Verbal UK!

You can also add a free Chrome extension called Smilematic, which will automatically turn your everyday Amazon purchases into AmazonSmile donations so you’ll never miss an opportunity to raise money for Auditory Verbal UK.

Give as you Live

Do your online shopping at retailers such as Amazon, John Lewis, Sainsbury's, British Airways or Asos and raise money to help deaf children listen and talk at the same time! Simply do it via Give as you Live.

Giveacar

Do you own a vehicle that you want to sell or get rid of? Then please think about donating it to us through Giveacar! Giveacar raises money for UK charities by scrapping and selling old cars. Scrap donations raise about £35 for the charity (depending on the price of metal) while auction cars can raise much more. They provide a nationwide FREE service which:

  • Arranges the collection of the vehicle from your home for FREE; and
  • Recycles it at an authorised facility or sends it to auction (depending on its age and condition).

To arrange the donation of a car, visit www.giveacar.co.uk or call 020 7736 4242, quoting Auditory Verbal UK as your preferred charity.
