On Thursday 10 November, Noel Kenely, a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist at Auditory Verbal UK, attended a reception at the Malta High Commission in London.

Noel was invited by the President of Malta, Marie Louise Coleiro Preca, in recognition of the work that Auditory Verbal UK carries out with eight Maltese children and their families. AVUK's Malta project began in November 2015, and has been supported by the Maltese government.

Noel discussed our use of telepractice with President Coleiro Preca and how this has helped bring the two countries closer for the benefit of Maltese children with hearing loss.

Noel, who is himself Maltese, said “it was a great honour to have the opportunity to meet with the President of Malta and to be able to discuss the collaboration between AVUK and the Malta Cochlear Implant programme”.
